    Hi everyone,

New here? Say hello! This thread is where we get to meet the people behind the products, businesses and ideas. Whether you're leading a team, launching something new, or working hands-on to bring an idea to life by leveraging cloud technologies, we’d love to know who you are.
    👇
    I’ll start!

I'm Walter, the community manager here: my role is to help make this space as welcoming and supportive as it was designed to be.
I'm based in London, passionate about technology and all the tools that make this era so exciting and future-focused. In my free time, I enjoy gaming, especially Minecraft.
When I’m offline, I love hiking or getting my hands dirty in the garden, growing veggies and enjoying the outdoors.

Feel free to share as much or as little as you like — what you're working on, how you use AWS, or if you're just starting to explore it. And if you’re up for it, tell us something outside of work too, like a hobby, an interest or anything you're passionate about.

We’re glad you’re here. Introduce yourself below when you’re ready 👇

    Hi everyone 👋

I’m Michael Lee, based just outside of Boston, Massachusetts. I’m the Manager of Network Engineering at Vista (formerly Vistaprint) where I focus on evolving our infrastructure into a programmable, automated, and AI-enhanced environment.

I’m also the founder of AiOp.Net, a startup focused on AI-driven infrastructure automation and platform solutions—think domain-specific AI agents for network operations, not just another chatbot. I’ve recently started exploring AWS in deeper ways, particularly around building scalable architectures for LLM-backed internal tools like NOVA (yeah I know... new name needed :/ ), our Network Operations Virtual Assistant.

Outside of work, I’m a father, a music producer (with a love for hip hop and turntables), an avid reader of Tolkien and sci-fi, and a huge advocate for men’s mental health. I believe change is constant, and that the most exciting part of tech is how much there’s still left to build.

Looking forward to connecting and learning from everyone here!

Hi mike-lee-vista-amer! Welcome to the community! Really interesting profile, and always great to meet a fellow Tolkien enthusiast. The website for your startup is impressive. I’m sure we’ll talk soon about AI in this community... I’ll tag you as the expert on the matter when the time comes. 😎
Nice to see you're diving into AWS. Curious, which Nova models have you had a chance to try so far, and which version have you found most effective?

            Hi @Here,
I'm Lorenzo, CEO of 6pillars.ai which automates best-practices, compliance and well-architected in AWS. We're primarily working with AWS Consulting Partners to make their operations, offerings and businesses more scalable and profitable through automating AWS Well-Architected and Foundational Technical Reviews (FTRs, required for ISVs to sell on AWS Marketplace), but we're also automating as much pain out of AWS customers getting compliant with SOC 2, ISO 27001, etc. by not just finding issues but fixing them in infrastructure and code with safe, non-disruptive automation, all ideally with little to no commercial impact to the customer.
We won Rising Star Partner of the Year this year and host the AWS Well-Architected Meetups in Sydney, Melbourne and Auckland so when I'm not very busy running and growing 6pillars.ai I'm into running, food, wine, watches and of course my kids.
BTW, I live in Queenstown in NZ - that's right, Tolkein country ;-)
PS: Walter_G how did we all get invited? As in what the common denominator among us?

              Hi Lorenzo,
Thank you for introducing yourself and your successful business 6pillars.ai! It’s so great to have you here!
Straight to your question: this space is part of the AWS Connected Community, designed as a supportive and collaborative environment to help every member thrive.
I’d say the common denominators are an AWS account a willingness to share and learn, and a desire to grow with AWS.
Here, anyone can join lively discussions, create new threads, or browse insights to accelerate their business—ranging from member tips to the latest services, offers, and programmes.
Basically, it’s a way for us to share our journeys and connect with others!

By the way, congratulations on the recognition you’ve achieved lorenzo-mod-336-amer And yes, running must be a next-level experience when done in such a beautiful paradise like the Shire hills from The Lord of the Rings!

Hi Fellow Founders, I am Ainharan, the founder & CEO at ArcheloLAB, a platform that connects architects, vendors, and homeowners to simplify how residential spaces are designed and built. The inspiration for ArcheloLAB came from something I saw over and over again in the construction industry, great ideas getting lost in poor coordination, miscommunication, and delays. I wanted to change that. I wanted to build a system that not only helps homeowners create better homes but also empowers independent architects to focus on what they do best: design.
At ArcheloLAB, we are solving real, day-to-day problems that architects and clients face ranging from project matching and team-building to transparent pricing and smoother execution. Our goal is to make the process of building a home as seamless and elegant as the space itself.
Before this, I helped scale a home construction business from scratch to over LKR 800 million in annual revenue. I also built an AI outsourcing venture that partnered with Mobileye and generated over USD 400K in under two years.
Of course, not every startup I launched was a success. I have had a couple of ventures that failed but each one taught me lessons that now guide everything I build.
Ultimately, I am passionate about using technology and systems thinking to create real-world impact. And whether it's helping someone design their dream home or enabling creatives to thrive on their own terms, that’s the kind of work I want to keep doing.

Hey Ainharan, thanks for sharing your project. It's great how ArcheloLAB is tackling such a real, everyday challenge! It’s true, so often so many great ideas get lost in the chaos. It’s amazing how your passion for this space comes through so clearly!
I’m curious... what AWS tools or services do you find yourself using most often to keep things running smoothly as you support more architects and clients?
Really glad you’re here, ainharan_archelo-amer. We can’t wait to see more of what you’re building.

Walter_G Thank you so much for your appreciation. Yes, we are on an ambitious journey and so far, we have solved 5% of the problems ( and was abel to prove that our systems have saved money/ time for both Architects as well as home owners). Now, with the addition of AI, we want to take that to 35%,which is our target in next 5 years while making a 45Mn ARR. We are alost using every Amazon tools, startiing from EC2, KIRO and Q are the main tools.

That’s an inspiring goal! 35%! And thanks for your answer regarding the AWS tools!

Quick question for you who recently increased your investment in AI, ainharan_archelo-amer. We’re running a poll: What percentage of your tech budget this year is allocated to GenAI initiatives?
Don’t answer here 😉 just cast your vote in the 👉 poll. Have you spotted it 👀?

                      Thank you!

                          👋 Hi everyone,
I’m Praveen Muppala, currently based in the U.S. and working as a Cloud Engagement Manager and Program Lead at Hexaware Technologies. Over the last several years, I’ve been deeply involved in helping large enterprises — navigate complex cloud transformation journeys on AWS, GCP, and hybrid multi-cloud environments.
My day-to-day focuses on building and scaling Cloud Centers of Excellence (CCoE), driving FinOps and cost optimization strategies, and leading large-scale migration and modernization programs — from designing multi-account landing zones and security guardrails to deploying data platforms on Cloudera CDP Public Cloud and orchestrating enterprise-grade DevOps and CI/CD pipelines.
What I love most about my work is connecting the dots between business outcomes and technical design — whether that’s architecting resilient network topologies with Transit Gateway and Palo Alto NGFWs, building out data-intensive platforms with Impala, Kafka, and Kudu, or creating governance frameworks that align with AWS Well-Architected Framework pillars and NIST CSF compliance.
Outside of work, I’m passionate about continuous learning, mentoring teams, and building communities that grow together around cloud, security, and FinOps. I’m also exploring how GenAI and LLM-driven automation can reshape cloud operations and cost governance — something I’m particularly excited to collaborate on here.
I’m really looking forward to connecting with fellow builders, architects, and innovators in this space. If you’re tackling challenges around GenAI and LLM, Cloud Security & Governance, migration, modernization, landing-zone design, or cost governance, I’d love to exchange ideas and learn from your experiences too.
Excited to be part of this community and to contribute where I can!
                          Praveen
